National Colon Cancer Awareness Month

March is National Colon Cancer Awareness Month, and to celebrate we want to remind you about the easiest and most important thing you can do to protect yourself against colon cancer.

The third most commonly diagnosed cancer among men and women in the United States, colon cancer is also one of the most curable if caught early. That’s why national guidelines recommend most people begin routine colonoscopy screenings at the age of 50, and earlier if you have a family history of colon cancer.

Remember, colon cancer is one of the most treatable forms of cancer when diagnosed early. If you’re 50 or over, or if you have a family history of colon cancer, celebrate National Colon Cancer Awareness Month by talking to your doctor about individual colonoscopy screening guidelines.
