Juan C. Garcia, M.D., F.A.C.P., earned his undergraduate degree from Goethe’s College in Asuncion, Paraguay, his native country; and earned his medical degree from National University of Medical Sciences (NUMC) in Asuncion, Paraguay where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He served a residency at NUMC and then moved to the United States to serve a residency and first year fellowship at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. He served his second year fellowship in clinical hematology and oncology at the University of Illinois Medical Center, Chicago. Dr. Garcia is certified in internal medicine and hematology. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and is a sub-investigator in the Northern Indiana Cancer Research Consortium (NICRC). Dr. Garcia is currently serving as co-chair of Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center’s Quality Control of Cancer Data Committee. He has published many professional abstracts and articles.
